This is a completely unique fancy dress creation inspired by King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. This historical and legendary figure is renowned for leading the defence of Britain against the Saxons in the early sixth Century. Details of King Arthur are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention but Arthurian Romance became a significant strand of Medieval Literature and included the Holy Grail, Sir Lancelot and of course, the mighty sword of Excalibur. A new  interpretation of this romantic character is evident in our King Martha fancy dress costume featuring sumptuous Wine Velvet bodice and exquisite chain mail lace with hand embroidered lace detail to the front and cloak. The bodice is constructed in luxurious Duchess Satin and textured Velvet with rear lacing to close and features a low cut décolletage while the front panel boasts a hand embroidered cross in matching chain-mail lace to mirror the chain-mail sleeves which sit separately at the top of the arm with a slash sleeve effect. The Roman style skirt consists of a stunning sparkle silver net petticoat beneath 8 velvet panels with matching embroidered chain-mail lace detail. A powerful Medieval Queens Costume.

The corset bodice is created with a lacing fastening to the rear and has loop holes at edges from which the sumptuous cloak is attached, corset includes a side zip. The skirt and net petticoat are 14” long but extra length petticoat can be included if requested at the time of ordering.
