Mad Hatters Fancy Dress has an online costume hire service which makes it possible to provide people from all over the UK with our deluxe range of costumes. So whether you live in Luton, Sunderland or York, you too can make use of our fantastic online costume hire service. We have over 6000 different costumes available ranging from fairy tale outfits to TV & pop stars.
We have a selection of excellent theatrical costumes available including a fantastic historical range. We also offer a selection of original and reproduction vintage clothing for both children and adults, making us one of the leading companies for Goodwood Revival Outfits. We can deliver your desired theatrical costumes to your door within a day of your order being placed & arrange returns when required. We provide our service all over the UK including areas such as Glasgow, Watford, London & Manchester.

HOW TO USE OUR ON-LINE HIRE SERVICE
Mad Hatters prides itself on a professional, secure and reliable On Line Hire service. Just sit back and browse our extensive range of costumes, then simply click the date’s you require the calendar on the individual costume. We suggest a minimum Hire period of 5 days in order to allow a day at the start and at the end of your hire time for shipping.
For instance a costume booked from say Thursday, will be delivered on Friday, and collected on Monday. If you book from a Monday to Friday your item will be delivered on the Tuesday and collected on the Thursday.
Please use the 3rd day in your 5 day hire, as the day of your event. We will often attempt to delivery earlier in the week if we can, but in these circumstances you will be notified in advance.
Courier charge is set at £15 which is inclusive of both your delivery and collection, up to 5 costumes. Please be aware, Couriers do not run on Saturday or Sunday for Collections.
Saturday deliveries are possible but at an extra cost. Alternatively contact us on the contact page, via our e-mail or call on 01580 830 757 and let us know your choice, the date you require it for and the delivery and collection address.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION DATES AND TIMES
Because we care about our customers getting the best possible service here at Mad hatters, we try to process orders by Tuesday for the subsequent weekend. This allows us to send out your items on the Wednesday with delivery to you for the Thursday, which means that you have a day or so with your costume before the event. It also means that if there are any technical problems with the delivery, breakdowns etc that we have a day in hand to ensure that you have your costume in good time for your event, and it doesn’t cost you a penny more to have the costume this far in advance! These dates are obviously adjusted depending on the day of the week you require your item.
We are still able to offer next day delivery right up until Thursday midday but obviously the later you leave it the more is left to chance- so book early if you can
Collection of costumes is usually the day after the event, or for weekends this would be the Monday.
Delivery and collection times for our Online Costume Hire service, are between 9am and 5.30pm and require either a signature or a safe place for the item to be left. Please advice the member of staff taking your booking at the time.
How can I pay for goods and services?
We have a secure service payment processing platform on our website which will take all major cards, or you can pay with paypal.
We accept Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro (Switch), and Solo. We DO NOT accept American Express. Like any other shop we require full payment for all purchase and transport costs before goods can be released. For security reasons card payment details taken over the phone will be retained securely until items have been returned to us and have been checked over for any faults or missing items, or the transaction is complete.
Paying by Cheque.
We accept company and personal cheques. If you wish to pay by personal cheque this will need to be cleared before we dispatch the goods, this usually takes a minimum of three working days. Please do not send cash for mail order purchases or hire.
BACS transfers are accepted, please ask for bank account details. Paypal payments are accepted for all online orders.
